Anycubic i3 mega-s direct drive with default titan extruder
thingiverse
I modified the original design to enable using the thicker titan that comes with the mega setup. You'll need to cut off the useless circle that covers the gear on the lid, or maybe just use or print another lid if possible. I used a hacksaw - you could get away with a razor, depending on your creativity! Check the original instructions and information, which remain the same at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3561086/files. I also included an "untested" version that allows using the extruder without cutting off the lid, but since I've already cut mine off and installed it, I unfortunately can't test it. Pro tip: if any screw you have is too long for something, just use washers! I installed the cover using only one screw. If it doesn't fit properly, drill it yourself. I couldn't get it to work perfectly, but this one should in theory. The one I'm using doesn't have the added rectangle to let you adjust the cover nicely. PS: I gained no advantage from this modification. Flexible prints may run at 5mm/s more at most, but the quality of everything remains the same. The only difference is that I changed from 1.4mm retraction and 0.4 linear advance to 0.08 linear advance and 0.3 retractions. Otherwise, I'm dealing with added weight and a tiny stepper motor! But then again, this was an awesome experiment and experience for me! UPDATE1: My fan mount broke easily. I noticed it's too thin, so I simply made it thicker and updated the file. The old one will be called body_old.stl.
