Anycubic i3 Mega - Pause At Height
thingiverse
This is a modified version of JuliJanz's work to update the Cura built-in Python script for pausing prints at a specified height or layer. The original script was based on an older version of Cura, so it didn't correctly manage the Z-axis, causing prints to fail after resuming. To fix this issue, I updated the new Cura script and incorporated JuliJanz's changes. The built-in script can now pause the Anycubic i3 Mega, but unfortunately, it cannot resume the print from the touchscreen. For some reason, the i3 Mega doesn't recognize the M0 command used by the built-in script. To overcome this limitation, JuliJanz implemented a configurable pause that requires the operator to press the pause button on the touchscreen. This way, the print is never actually paused; instead, it waits for a short period until the user manually pauses it. After completing any necessary tasks, such as inserting fabric or changing filament, the user simply clicks continue on the touch screen. To use this modified script, copy it into the scripts folder of Cura and restart the application. Then access it from Extensions -> Post Processing -> Modify GCode, where it will appear as Anycubic I3 Mega: Pause At Height. Remember to remove the script for prints you don't want to pause. To locate the scripts folder: Windows: c:\Program Files\Ultimate Cura <version>\plugins\PostProcessingPlugin\scripts\ Mac: /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/cura/<version>/scripts
