I grew tired of the standard i3Mega hotend cover because it severely restricted my view of the nozzle or was incredibly tedious to remove and replace, not to mention it got in the way of accessing the connectors or constantly messed with my camera's auto-exposure. Moreover, the design now allows for better airflow from the heatsink, which should make your nozzle fan more effective. This is a modified version of http://thingiverse.com/thing:2376385 You'll need: 4 - M3x8 (or 10mm I forget, I don't use this or the original printhead anymore) 4 - M3 hex nuts 2017-09-26 Added *-005.stl according to comment recommendation: - All holes are now 3.4mm in diameter for use with the same M3 bolts and a 0.4mm nozzle, eliminating the need to drill them out. - The nut holes are now tighter, requiring heat from a flame for a second or two before inserting the nut. If you're new to this, start slow and remove the nut if it's not hot enough, then reheat more and retry. That said: it's possible the nuts can be inserted with a little force, so try that first. Your specific nut and print tolerances will determine if it works or not. Even if they do fit, melting them in slightly keeps them in place. - Only the most recent version has been updated with big hex-holes/thin hex structure. All other files remain unchanged. 2017-07-26 Added: *-002 to *004.stl I added fan protection because several weeks have passed and I don't hate the first one, but it is far too easy to put fingers in the fan. 2017-07-11 Original file: *-001.stl
