Anycubic i3 Mega "Noise Reducing" Hotend cover
thingiverse
This remix combines elements from a couple of other parts. The original Hot End Cover performed flawlessly, silencing the high-pitched whine emanating from the right side fan. It turned out that air rushing through those tiny holes created an unintended flute-like effect. However, the LED light strip feature didn't function as intended due to interference from the bed leveling sensor. To resolve this issue, I removed it altogether. Removing the sensor allowed for a clearer view of the extruder, making the entire setup more efficient. The original design lacked a grill over the holes, so I incorporated one seamlessly into the part itself. This modification not only improved airflow but also enhanced overall aesthetics. Printing at 0.1 mm resolution yielded minimal supports, and I didn't need to add any in the grill areas, saving time and filament.
