2018-09-20: V4 next test with customizability :) ... the scad- and the stl-file for itself is working ... but that customization-stuff don't do it, and I don't understand why :/ ... help needed :) ... o.k., checked via a friends Thingiverse-account, and seems the customization works ... so it's fine for the moment ... unfortunately I now still don't know, with which version it went functional :/ and again deleted all files except the new ones 2018-09-19: V3 a first try, to make a thingi customizable ... maybe one wants to use M3 or M5 instead of M4 screws and nuts ... or the NutInsertBevel is to tight ... lets have a look - I'm not sure, if it may work as I wish :) ... filled the brackets of all modules, that may use one or more of the customization-variables with the full set of them ... may work now ... or still not :( ... next try ... this sucks: is there any understandable written guide, how to change an existing OpenSCAD-file into a customizable thingi ? ... would be nice, to get a hint in the comments - thx in advance :) ah, and deleted all files except the new ones, to avoid the customizer app, to try to use a wrong one ... so my complete statistics for this thingi went to the ashtray - but if it works :P 2018-09-14: V2 one may have a problem to insert the nuts or to screw in the screws, so I added 2 parameters to the scad-file at the very beginning: // standard-nuts DIN 934 or DIN 985 have a wrench size of 7mm NutNotchSize = 7.1; // diameter of the through-holes for the M4-screws ThroughDiameter = 4.5; so one may play with this 2 values fixed the 45°-SlideBevel 2018-09-13: V1 as its predecessor this thingi is a very raw version of this mount for linear bearings - LM8UU or igus RJ4JP-01-08 or matching - but this time for using standard M4-nuts DIN 934 or so ... due to vibrations in common use, I would like to suggest the use of selfsecuring nuts DIN 985 or so, BUT I'm not sure, if this printed material - ABS like PLA - is strong enough to withstand the forces when the locking ring grips this is not intentionally for printing, but as part of upgrading my Anycubic i3 Mega ... a work in progress
