LED Ring Holder for 80mm LED Rings. I modified the original design to enhance stability (problems with melting/collapsing PLA prints). - A third mounting point was added. - The surface area increased for faster cooling. - Thickness increased. - A wall was added that clears the X-endstop (preventing collision with the endstop fixture). Download includes two versions. One version has a 3mm gap to the casing (like the original), and the other version has only a .5mm gap. I prefer the latter, as it improves visibility, but the former decreases the risk of melting material. ### Printing settings - Layer height: 0.1 - No supports required. - 100% infill is recommended. ### How to attach the ring holder? Two longer screws are needed to attach the holder to the right side fan. A new screw for the left side is not necessary; just snap it over the existing screw head. ### How to attach the LED ring? I glued the LED ring to the bottom of the holder with silicone. ### What can I use as power source? - Attach it to the right side fan, so it will always light up when printing. - Connect it directly to the printers power supply unit. - Use an external power supply with 12 volts (like I did). I recommend getting a cheap 12v LED controller that allows you to dimm the light as the ultrabase is very reflective. ### Where can I get LED rings? You can buy them from eBay, Amazon etc. for around $3. I recommend getting one that comes with a light diffuser.
