This simple and convenient part can be easily mounted on the right side z-axis stepper motor to safeguard the leadscrew. The fan that cools the filament as it's laid down can blow small particles of filament onto the right side leadscrew and end-stop, potentially causing them to malfunction over time. Duplicate this part in your slicer to ensure a perfect fit with the other stepper motor. I discovered that the bolts used to secure the stepper motor are slightly too short (M3 x 5mm), so I substituted M3 x 8mm bolts to get this guard to fit snugly.
