Anycubic i3 Mega IGUS RJM-01 Bearing Adapter, Single and Dual
thingiverse
These adapter plates can mount IGUS RJM-01 bearings on ultrabase printbeds. The design has been optimized to secure the bearing without compressing it too much, preventing deformation. The printbed's height remains unchanged from stock bearings. Testing will continue over the next few days, with hopes that retaining rings won't be needed to keep the bearing in place. Currently, a single bearing is used, but a double bearing version may be added after initial testing. Initial prints were made using 0.15 layer thickness of Nx2 PLA from Extrudr, which adhered well to the ultrabase printbed at 200°C and 60°C. Update: May 7th - Following several successful prints, a part with rapid printhead movements failed due to bearing movement in the holder. A new version with reduced outcut for the bearing will be printed to minimize retaining ring usage. Update: May 15th - A dual-bearing adapter has been designed, secured by two retaining rings (DIN 472 for 16 mm holes). This model significantly improves print quality compared to single bearing versions and shows promise as a reliable solution. The y-stepper runs warmer but no missed steps have occurred using TMC2208 drivers. Update: June 29th - The inside diameter of the mono-version has been changed to 16.05mm, matching the dual version, and uploaded as a new file titled "...1605". Update: February 14th - A ring-secured single bearing holder design has been added to provide additional security for the adapter plate.
