Anycubic I3 Mega Hotend Cover V2
thingiverse
This is the second version of my hotend cover for the Anycubic I3 Mega. The primary change, aside from color, involves increasing the depth of the area for the front fan to 20mm. This upgrade allows me to use the Noctua NF-A4x20 FLX 40mm fan, which offers more airflow and less noise. Installing the nuts in the pipe requires some dexterity and a bit of brute force. Print time was approximately 0:51 hours for the pipe and 2:48 hours for the chassis. Filament usage consisted of 11 grams for the pipe and 37 grams for the chassis. Bill of Materials: 4x M3x30 screws (for fan and front) 2x M3x6 screws (for chassis and rear) 2x M3x10 screws (for chassis and top) 8x M3 nuts However, there's a problem: the NF-A4x20 does not currently rotate. It only spins when connected to 12V. In contrast, the NF-A4x10 fan still operates on the Anycubic without any issues. This means that the model fits but the electronics are not functioning as they should be yet. Unfortunately, this is a known problem. Update: I have added V2a with a modified fan duct. It's untested at this time and can be seen in comment #2283950.
