I found it to be a real nuisance getting the filament to slide into the filament sensor and out the other side. Usually had to pull it off and mess around with it. So I came up with this little gadget that inserts into the open slot to give the filament a nice straight path all the way up to the roller. Since the hole for the filament is only 3mm, I recommend printing this at .1mm, 100% infill, and the highest quality setting possible. I also came up with a couple different attachments to route the filament into the guide depending on where your spool is located. I personally prefer the funnel best of all. The photo shows the filament being fed from behind, but that's only because I turned the printer around to take the picture. Normally, I have the spool sitting on a shelf to the right of the printer, and it feeds great from both locations. There is a bit of added resistance, but so far, I haven't encountered any problems with my prints. This little gadget was designed to go along with the filament sensor holder I came up with earlier:
