I found this design to be satisfactory on half-spools but needed some adjustment when the spool was full. To improve this, I extended the length by 20mm and uploaded version v5, also adding more depth to the hole for the PTFE tube. Initially, I intended to simplify the feed into the Bowden drive, so I created this part. I thought it would be a good idea to share my design. The first prototype was designed for a 4mm pneumatic fitting, but the brass edge cut into the filament as it entered. To address this issue, I replaced the fitting with a plastic coupling, but unfortunately, the job turned out poorly. I decided to redo the part, incorporating an integrated feed hole and making it longer. This revised design allowed the 4mm PTFE tube to fit snugly without any glue or mechanical fittings. However, there is still room for improvement – another 30mm in length would be beneficial. When I have time, I will make this update. This part was designed using Fusion 360 software.
