Anycubic i3 Mega Direct Drive - Flexion

thingiverse

Direct drive assembly for the Flexion E3D retrofit kit using the stock Anycubic carriage plate. The part cooler is a slight remix of Thingiverse 2815388, which is a remix of Thingiverse 2765158. The belt holder is a remix of Thingiverse 2838383 made to mount directly to the i3 Mega carriage plate. Design uses the standard micro fan that comes with the V6 hotend. **Parts List** * E3D V6 hotend or clone like this one, which works great * 2 x M3 14mm * 2 x M3 8mm * 4 x M3 18mm * 6 x M3 nuts * 1 x M4 22mm and M4 nut for fan * PCB board reuses the 3 stock M3 screws. * GT-2 6mm belt (stock belt is too short by about 30mm) * 1 x 5015 radial fan like this one **Notes** The slim style Nema 17 stepper does not have enough torque to push the Flexion extruder. Not sure on the brand, but a 30mm body works great and is light. When printing the part cooler, make sure supports are only used on the outside of the part and not the inside which will likely happen when auto generating supports (S3D will do this). A primary objective of this design was to retain the same printable area as stock, but you will need to modify your "Home" offset for the Y axis approximately 10mm to accommodate the new nozzle location. This can easily be done in the EEPROM using the M206 or M428 commands. [Source File Download](https://a360.co/2PRrAAT)
