I've been working on a design for the BL Touch that attaches to the existing hot end carriage of the I3 Mega with minimal modifications required. Two distinct designs have been created, each offering a unique approach to incorporating the sensor into the printer's architecture. The first design places the sensor directly in front of the nozzle, aligned with its axis, while the second design positions it on the side, near the front, to prevent interference from the X-axis motion. This configuration allows for unobstructed X-axis travel and avoids any potential collisions with the frame. I haven't yet printed or tested these designs, so feedback is welcome at this stage of development.
