Anycubic I3 Mega belt tensioner
thingiverse
Because the tie wraps didn't work out, I designed a belt tensioner for the Anycubic I3 Mega. It takes just two parts and roughly 19 minutes to print on my Anycubic printer, requiring only two M3 bolts and two self-securing nuts (or four nuts). I chose M3 x 25mm bolts because it's easier to tighten the belt if they're a little longer than necessary. However, M3 x 20/16 will also get the job done. Edit: I reworked the design slightly (adding five millimeters to both sides and one millimeter in thickness) and now use self-securing nuts, locktite, or two additional nuts because they tend to come loose if not secured properly. For added security, you can also use tie wraps on the ends to squeeze the teeth together, but I'll be testing this new design soon without them to see how it holds up against heated beds that can cause PLA to bend.
