Thanks Sniper_is_Silent for the cool little Z support mod. I didn't want to remove the Z rods to install it, so I modified the design to let it slip over the rod and lock it into place with a M3 screw and nut. Unfortunately, the design was too tall (18.4mm) and I couldn't reach max Z height. I modified it again to a height of 12.8mm which lets me reach max Z height if necessary with some mm to spare. I also slightly increased the size of bearing circumference as the original was too tight and I damaged the bearings trying to install and remove them. My suggestion to install this Z support mod is to first check your max Z height and measure the distance to fit the Z support (min 12.8mm). Check that the bearings can be fitted easily and firmly. Install the Z support without the bearings fitted by sliding it over the Z rod on a 45 degree angle and turning it over the threaded rod at the same time before locking it into place. Fit the bearings firmly in place and check that the Z support is aligned parallel to the threaded rod and secure in place with an M3 screw and nut. To check the amount of Z wobble you have by raising the Z height and looking down from above at the threaded rods. My Z wobble was small (maybe 1mm) and there seems to be none with the Z supports added. There has been a slight improvement on my prints and unfortunately I don't have a before and after print to show as a comparison. Maybe someone can post a make with a comparison. Happy printing. Update: I've added a Z wobble support that uses an M4 screw and bolt. Update: I noticed that the Z height screw may get stuck under the Z wobble support at max height. To prevent this issue, I've designed a little Z screw height support that slightly moves the screw away from the Z wobble support and helps to stabilise the Z height screw.
