Anycubic i3 Mega 80mm Motherboard Fan Adapter
thingiverse
Been on a mission to tame down the i3 Mega's noise level while boosting airflow. The stock motherboard fan, measuring 50x50x10, is ridiculously loud and provides minimal cooling. This adapter zips onto the bottom cover/grill and accommodates an 80mm fan. I opted for a Noctua Redux fan and it works amazingly well. It's nearly silent and pushes a huge amount of air. Yes, it's 25mm thick but fits perfectly and blows great. It's also a 4 pin, but can be adapted to be a 2 pin using the stock connector. Match black to black and red to yellow (on the fan). You could also consider using a Cooler Master 80mm Silent Fan, which is only 15mm thick, blows 24CFM, and has comparable db ratings at 20db. I haven't tried it myself, but the specs look impressive. Any 80mm fan would work with this adapter. A slimmer fan would give you even more clearance, but I can personally attest that the 80mm Noctua is nearly silent.
