Anycubic Custom sock - V5 J-head

**absolutely print outer walls first. this will allow for much more stable dimensions on the mating joints. Also turn on ironing to get the most flat surface. Right now this is 5 pieces, so print orientation does not do a great job on the logo side. Splitting the side walls into 4 pieces instead or two would work better, but i just realized that, so haven't had a chance to test it and make that version that could snap together. I stumbled across this and wanted to make it to fit with m3 inserts. Used a m3x6x5 for the top, and m3x8x5 or 10x5 for the sides. Standard sizes in a multi-size pack from Amazon. The bottom mold was opened up to allow a hex screw head to fit inside and still remain flat, The top was opened up for a standard size insert, and also increased in depth slightly to accommodate the insert without sanding. Both of the side pieces were opened up to allow inserts. I also re-created the logo with a bit more depth and better angles on the walls to allow for better printing definition without supports. I also created insets so that even without perfectly aligned inserts, you would still get properly aligned walls. I did make it so that you could install a screw from the backside of the insert, so as you heat and install, it will remain almost perfectly straight. Should be perfectly able to print without support, but it you do leave it turned on only a very tiny bit underneath the bottom hole will get supported and I doubt you would be able to tell the time difference. Recommend installing the two walls together and then sanding flat for the best fitment to remove any printer errors. Definitely just a slight tweak re-mix. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4766941 I plan on making another tweak later once I decide where the cuts can best be placed. I think we can actually just remove the heater and the thermistor and put a "+" cutout to allow for the screw to be tightened after the sock is installed, allowing for an even better fit. Just haven't had a chance to play with it yet. (printer power supply popped this weekend)
