I was determined to find a more cost-effective solution for printing TPU without breaking the bank on a Hemera, which can cost as much as $150. Even with an advanced extruder/hot end setup, I still anticipated encountering ringing issues. What I came up with resulted in mounting a Titan Aero Rep to a linear rail that cost less than $60. This design is specifically tailored for an MGN12H linear carriage, which significantly reduces weight compared to the stock metal roller bearing carrier and hot end housing. It may even outperform stock bowden form in terms of weight. See the pictures below for references on weight reduction. Feel free to test and remix this design as needed.
