Anycubic Chiron - Relocate X axis stop.
thingiverse
I have installed the BMG "upgrade" to a direct-drive extruder, but find I still need to remove it from the gantry plate when I block the unit. The X axis micro switch is on this assemble and the wiring gets in the way. A replacement left-hand end-plate was made from 3mm steel with an extra lip to attach the micro switch as seen in the first pic. You can then see the switch slides along the slots to give a little adjustment. Slightly longer screws were required with washers and nuts on the back. The gantry plate then activates the switch when it moves to the left. The wires then run along the front of the X gantry and are held in the groove by two 10mm wide strips of plastic, cut from the cover of a display folder (neat). The wire was brought up past the X axis stepper and secured with a small metal strap held by one of the stepper screws. The tricky part was finding the correct wires to connect the switch to. I fished the wire bundle out through a gap in the netting and explored. Using a needle connected to my multimeter, I probed the wires to find continuity with the original switch wires. One wire was one edge of each of the plain black 4-wires strips - good luck;) Sorry about the poor photos - I see I need to clean up my work area. ps, you may notice in one of the photos that I have upgraded the original bed adjusting wheels.
