Anycubic Chiron - Plastic Enclosure Stand
thingiverse
A sturdy enclosure bracket for the Anycubic Chiron 3D printer holds thin foldable plastic in place. This design is similar to a previous one created for the Anycubic i3 MEGA, but it's specifically tailored for the Chiron model. The Chiron has a larger volume and runs cooler than the i3 MEGA, making it suitable for printing with PLA. However, using ABS or other high-temperature materials is still recommended for optimal results. The bracket that clamps onto the frame is a separate print, and ABS is an ideal material for this purpose due to its softness and lack of scratching potential. The infill for this part can be printed at 100% density, while the rest of the enclosure can be set to 20%. This design allows for flexibility in case one of the clamping parts breaks, as only that specific section needs to be reprinted. The entire setup works perfectly to hold thin plastic enclosures for the Chiron during ABS printing or as a permanent dust shield. Files are provided in a mirrored format, making it easy to print separate left and right frame brackets. Additionally, small clamps and coupling parts can be printed from individual files.
