Anycubic Chiron Firmware 1.3.0m - With optimial configuration
thingiverse
This firmware is based on 1.3.0 AnyCubic, with 4988 standard drivers. The 1.3.0 comes with a config file that allows you to set different options for the firmware. This is quite easy to do, and with some YouTube videos and reading, you will have it figured out in no time. This is my 1.3.0 AnyCubic firmware with my config adjustments - Use at your own risk, you damage don't cry to me. Saying that I have used and love these new config options listed below. If I get enough demand, I'll upload the source. Here are the key changes: * Z_MIN_PROBE_REPEATABILITY_TEST is active. Use the following GCODE to test sensor - MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR PROBE ON!!! - M48 P10 X100 Y100 V2. * S_CURVE_ACCELERATION is activated. This gives a very slight curve to acceleration. * ENABLE_LEVELING_FADE_HEIGHT is activated. M420 Z6 send this and M500 - Leveling fade Z height - it means your bed leveling data is faded out by the 6th layer - Please check height with and without for your results M420 Z0 followed by M500 to deactivate. * Hotend max temp is set to 260 - Note the tubing hits the hotend. Any higher and you tube will melt (you can change heat break for higher temps). * Bed max temp is set to 120. * Modified probe test areas to align with grid junction. * Increased slightly home travel speed. * DRIVER_TYPE is A4988 - These are the original stepper drivers. * DEFAULT_MAX_ACCELERATION is increased. Now Cura will be accurate with estimated times - My personal opinion is that to get nice prints and avoid a lot of shakes in the printer, I have set the print acceleration to max 750 & max travel acceleration to 900 in CURA settings. Thanks to chipen83. * RESTORE_LEVELING_AFTER_G28 is activated. This restores Bed leveling data after G28 command. Here are some mods that have made a big difference for me on my Anycubic Chiron: * 3x 2208 Stepper driver X Y Extruder - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TubpTMFkbVs * BMG extruder - Very simple mod with great results. I just turned my stepper motor upside down - Check my mod on here for lining up the filament. * V6 E3D hotend with copper heat block - I'll just supply the links on eBay for this upgrade as at time of writing they are the cheapest I found. * Copper heatblock - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/copper-brass-heater-block-for-E3D-copper-hotend-for-3D-printer-high-temperature/283597504036?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 * Heat sink - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/E3D-V6-Reprap-All-Metal-J-head-Bowden-Heatsink-for-1-75mm-3mm-Filament/192256782491?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 * Heat break - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/1-pc-Hot-End-Throat-Stainless-Steel-Thermal-Heat-Break-for-3D-Printer-Practical/323897918295?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&var=512928885655&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 * Themo - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/3D-Printer-Parts-HT-NTC100K-Thermistor-Temperature-Sensor-for-High-Temperat-C4D3/293115717858?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&var=591981602499&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 * E3D Capricorn 60cm - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/E3D-Genuine-Capricorn-Bowden-Tubing-100mm/293016414885?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 Enjoy modding!!!
