Anycubic Chiron Fast Spool Holder Update
thingiverse
The objective for this project was to upgrade the Chiron original spool holder in a fast and simple way using common bearings to improve performances and reliability while printing TPU and other flex materials. Everything is designed to be easily removed at any time depending on specific spool sizes and needs. --- ## Warning Since there's no standard for the original spool holder dimensions, I strongly advise testing a single clip before printing the entire design. If it fits, the design will likely work well on your printer. I've tested this project for several hours of printing (with PLA, PETG and TPU) with no major issues. However, further testing is needed to perfect the design and clips. --- ## What You Need Every base requires two clips, a pin, and a 608 (or similar) bearing. I recommend one long-clip for preventing the filament spool from moving or falling from the inner side of the holder, especially with small spools. --- ## Compatibility While designed specifically for my Chiron, this project can likely be adapted to fit other Anycubic printers with a similar holder. --- ## Updates 04/09/2019 update: I resized the clip model to match the new base design and added a long clip for improved spool stability.
