Anycubic Chiron Cam Mount for small Prints
thingiverse
I wanted to create a custom GoPro mount for my Chiron, but merely copying someone else's design wasn't as fulfilling as I had hoped. So, I designed this rod from scratch in Fusion360 - it consists of two parts: a fixation bracket and an extension rod. The bracket can be secured to the Chiron heated bed using an M4 screw, preventing it from falling off when moved. The rod is attached using another M4 screw at the bottom. Everything should fit snugly together without any wobbling or gaps between the parts. To mount any extensions or additional rods, I recommend using standard connection items supplied with the GoPro - or equivalent accessories. I only plan to use this design for small prints because the rod needs to be significantly extended to accommodate the 450mm build height of the Chiron. However, that's a project for another day. Update 30/05/2019: I discovered that trying to fix the camshaft with one hand is quite challenging due to the screws turning when attempting to secure them. To solve this issue, I added screw support in my improved design.
