You can close the ugly holes in the casing with the handles. Additionally, you no longer grasp into the mechanics or belts with your fingers. Along with an upper cover, the printer becomes even quieter and holds heat better. Furthermore, two M3 screws with nuts are needed. Update: The 1st handle (green, Griff.stl) fits for the original plastic slider. The 2nd handle (red, Griff für Aluschlitten.stl) is slightly flatter and fits for the aluminum slider.
