anvil aluminum pattern
thingiverse
Version anvil_MB reigns supreme. I've uploaded .dxf files - a whole one and two more that could potentially function as halves. If you're unfamiliar with .dxf files, don't worry; just let me know if they work. This design represents a two-piece pattern for an aluminum casting. I aimed to replicate mrpete's "ideal" shape as closely as possible. The designs labeled with "KB" boast a thicker base, which I believe is superior. I've modified the design to feature a thicker base and alignment holes for dowels in the bases of the patterns. The latest iteration is designated "Anvil KB." I deleted the previous designs; note that if the image appears to lack draft on one side of the base, it's probably due to Thingiverse not updating the picture. Edit: On September 23, 2019, I added a "scallop" to the base, which I had overlooked earlier. So version anvil_MB is indeed the best.
