Antweight Pusher

Antweight Pusher

This is a complete redesign from scratch of Aldwin's antweight bot called plover. Every component now prints without support and there is slightly more usable space inside for electronics to fit. The lid is no longer secured by screws but held in place by friction and the small bumps on its pillars, which means that the battery connector can be used as an isolator and a switch is no longer needed. My receiver and ESC's have LEDs and are easily visible through the plastic so a separate power LED is also unnecessary. Additionally, the slight increase in internal space has made it easier to use a 260mah battery pack and there is enough room for an even bigger one if desired, as shown in the photo. Weight-wise, my complete bot weighs around 120gm, which could be reduced by tidying up the wiring, making it possible to print with higher infill than I did. UPDATE: I have made a slight adjustment to the lid to improve its fit. Currently printing a set of V1.1 parts in green PLA so more photos will be available soon. Print Settings: Printer: CTC Replicator Clone Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.3mm Infill: 20% Notes: I have printed all the components with PLA, ABS, PC-ABS, and Taulman Alloy 910 to see which one holds up better, although I expect them all to hold up fairly well in this application. However, if it were to come into contact with a spinning weapon, PLA might not perform as well as the other materials.
