Simple Ant Trap to Fulfill Your Desires for Eradicating Unwanted Insects. A lot of tiny black ants have been entering my home recently and a friend shared a recipe for an effective ant killer with me. Here's how you can make it. Combine: 1.5 Cups Warm Water 0.5 Cups Sugar 1.5 Tbsp Borax Mix the ingredients well, then soak them into small pieces of cotton that you can place in a shallow dish. I decided to take this recipe further by designing an ant trap that's more efficient and easy to use. Instead of using cotton balls, I used thin sheets of organic cotton that I used when I was vaping. You can easily shape or stretch regular cotton balls to fit the design. About the Design: The ant trap has ramps on three out of four sides for ants with mobility issues, while one side remains flat as it will likely be placed against a wall or an object. The triangular shape at the top is designed to thin out the plastic and allow the cover to bend slightly so you can easily snap it into place. Be cautious when handling borax and other chemicals involved in this process. I printed the cover upside down, but make sure you have good cooling on your printer to achieve clean 45-degree angles. I don't have a printer with adequate cooling at the moment, so my design isn't perfect, but for this purpose does it really matter? I designed and printed four of these ant traps today, so I haven't tested their effectiveness yet. If you print one, please share your results in the comments! Thanks!
