Antonio's Kissing Couple
thingiverse
For Lori, my amazing wife. Based on the animation model found here: https://grabcad.com/library/kissing-couple-1. Three-dimensional print in one shot using the UM2_antonio_final.stl file. That's what I did, but it took a long time (nine hours). Alternatively, three-dimensionally print the individual parts using their respective .stl files. Position them as shown in the "final" file for optimal results. **You'll need to carefully drill/file all holes!!** The crank handle was especially frustrating (I should have made the hole bigger). I used hot glue to assemble the parts (with the table's side part last). ~~The pictures show version 1.0 of the design.~~ The latest files/pictures are the final 2.0 version, where I applied the learnings from my version 1.0 efforts in the following ways: 1) Printed in white (best for painting) 2) Ensured the crank is vertical (printing horizontally resulted in flat spots) 3) Added a starter hole to the gear stops (when solid, it was difficult drilling the center hole) Enjoy!! Oh, the texture on the faces changed depending on printer resolution (I started with 0.20 and then settled on 0.15) and part orientation. You'll need to experiment with these variables if you care. https://youtu.be/CI3IDpBVSjw
