Antlered T-Rex
thingiverse
The "Dina-lope" Since I laid eyes on TheB4RM4N's **D-Rex (Deerannosaurus Rex)**, I knew I had to have one proudly displayed over my mantle. I remixed it with framedworld's **Banjo Dinosaur Head** to add some life-like flesh, and tweaked the antlers to make them even more menacing. Printed in 5 parts (2 antlers, head, a mounting plate of my own design, and 2 smaller antler pieces that were glued on. Using a 0.35mm layer height, it took around 24+ hours of non-stop print time, with a 3% infill. I used eSUN PLA+ for the job. I'd like to clarify that none of this is my original design, except for the mounting plate. What I'm most proud of is the awesome paint job. By the way, modern science suggests that dinosaurs were much more vibrant, just like birds, than previously thought. And B) T-Rex didn't have antlers either. This is purely a fantasy creation for my living room, not a historically accurate museum piece. I painted it with acrylics and sealed it with an entire can of high gloss clearcoat.
