This is a compact, static antique-style hand pump designed to function as a garden fountain. The pump stands approximately 8 inches tall and attaches to a piece of 1-inch (I.D.) PVC pipe, allowing the user to adjust its height or shorten it according to preference. To assemble the pump, I utilized Super glue to join the parts together, securing the bottom flange to the PVC as well. The handle of the pump mounts securely using several 6-32 screws, while the flange screws and nuts are a smaller 4-40 size. Minimal post-processing sanding was required due to the pump's design. To conceal the layer lines visible on the pump, I applied Rust-Oleum Universal Antique Pewter Hammered Enamel Spray Paint. This process effectively camouflaged any imperfections, giving the finished product a polished appearance. The water pump itself is sourced from Amazon (B01KLBNCGG), and 5/16-inch I.D. hose connects it to the fountain. To optimize energy consumption, the pump operates only during daylight hours, powered by a battery/solar panel/controller setup that ensures efficient use of solar energy.
