Antique Turkish Thumb Ring

Antique Turkish thumb ring designed for metal casting and 3D printing. Most rings come with a US size = 8 (Diameter = 18.14mm approx.), which allows for scaling without worrying about wall thickness, especially when using most metal 3D printers. To scale up a ring to fit your finger size, use Meshmixer, a free software from Autodesk. Import the ring and go to Analysis/Measure in the left menu. Measure the inner diameter of the ring by choosing Type: edge to edge, Direction: outward (n), and Snapping mode: Snap to Vertices. Click on the inner diameter of the ring to get a red line with a reading on the right side. To scale up, go to Edit menu/Transform, increase any size value while checking Uniform Scaling. Repeat the measuring process until you reach your correct finger size. Once done, export the model as STL Binary Format, which is recommended. All published models are for personal use only.
