Antique Toy Car Wheel

Antique Toy Car Wheel

thingiverse

A buddy of mine scored this metal ride at a yard sale. It had one wheel missing, but still looked decent. He brought over one of the wheels to see if I could whip up a replacement. I busted out my profile gauge and used it to copy the profile on some graph paper. Next, I plugged those coordinates into DesignSpark and ran a rotary extrusion. After some minor tweaking, I had a wheel and hubcap that looked virtually identical to the originals. My friend was stoked with the results and started giving the car a good scrubbing and a fresh coat of paint. It's a real mashup of old-school tech and modern machinery! We're guessing this baby was built back in the 1930s.
