The black cast iron matches dispenser was scanned using the MakerBot Digitizer Desktop 3D Scanner. Initially, a matte white coating did not yield satisfactory results, but a spray called SKD-S2 Developer (Spotcheck by Magnaflux), used by welders to find cracks, proved effective. Concave areas need improvement in Meshmixer, but the design on the sides scanned excellently.
