Antinous statue from the site of Els Munts, in Tarragona, Spain, captures the likeness of a young Bithynian. As a slave and favored companion of Hadrian, Antinous met a tragic end by drowning in the Nile River in 122 AD. The emperor deified him posthumously. His presence in the Villa of Els Munts symbolizes the unwavering loyalty of its owner to the emperor. Dating back to the middle of the 2nd century AD, the sculpture underwent extensive processing in Reality Capture, utilizing a comprehensive dataset of 1135 photos. This project was made possible through collaborative efforts with the National Archaeological Museum of Tarragona and the Agencia Catalana del Patrimonio Cultural. The artifact bears catalog number MNAT45406.
