Antinous Farnese
myminifactory
The Antinous Farnese is a distinct marble sculptural portrait of Antinous, named after its former owners, the Farnese family. It was once prominently displayed at the entrance to the Carracci Gallery within the Palazzo Farnese in Rome before being relocated to Naples for exhibition at the Royal Borbonic Museum (Reale Museo Borbonico), which is now known as the Naples National Archaeological Museum; a replica took its place in the original location in the 1970s.
