In my initial assessment of this project, the primary issue was its disorganized company/product line branding. The numerous brand names—Antigravity batteries, XP-5, Micro-start PPS, and MINI—created confusion and miscommunication. This confusion affected the clarity of their product line. Since the contest requirements encouraged new concepts, I chose to propose a revised design. The main question to address was: what are we selling? We're not merely selling batteries; instead, we offer a portable device capable of powering various items, including cars. Portability is the key advantage, which inspired a design that veered away from industrial aesthetics. I opted for a sleeker, more sophisticated look, similar to a mobile phone, reflecting portability, technology, and future-focused themes. To achieve this, I incorporated curves, creating a dynamic product design while simplifying the overall appearance. A good product should speak for itself through lines, forms, and color, so excessive graphics were avoided. This ambitious design may present challenges in terms of engineering, manufacturing, and costs; however, it demonstrates an aspiration to set industry standards. Functionally, the design features outlets on one side and a charging inlet at the rear. LED lights of three different colors are positioned next to the power button, creating a powerful semiotic. The black-yellow color scheme is versatile and can also work with black-red. Branding has been minimized, but there's potential for further color improvements. Overall, I believe this revised design offers clarity and a modern aesthetic. Your feedback is valuable, and I look forward to sharing more renders in the future.
