Anti Z Wobble / Vibration for Anet A8 (optimized)
thingiverse
This design reduces the vibrations of the Z-axis produced by the extruder carriage. Improved print quality will be achieved and noise levels will decrease when printing under specific conditions, such as when moving the printer at high speeds. It is designed for use with 608ZZ ball bearings (8mm inner diameter x 22mm outer diameter x 7mm height). I purchased 10 units for 2 euros on Aliexpress. This design was created to be as compact as possible in order to minimize the loss of printing area. It was designed using FreeCAD version 0.17. The design has a height of 9mm, which is significantly lower than the most popular design found on Thingiverse, which stands at 20mm. This results in a 11mm increase in available printing space and reduces print times by 25%. Comparing images shows the difference in space occupied between my design and the most popular design. Required: * Print with supports in the nut cavity and screw head for improved results. * 2x 608ZZ ball bearings * 2x M3 screws * 2x M3 nuts Design uploaded: April 15, 2019 Added two additional STL files: left side and both sides in one file on April 16, 2019.
