Anti Z Wobble For Anet A8
myminifactory
I built this gadget swiftly. Next, I planned to make some modifications but it has been half a year since I completed it and it works flawlessly so I've decided not to alter anything. It uses a bearing 608ZZ. Printing with it yields excellent resolution and filling quality. It integrates perfectly with that device https://www.myminifactory.com/object/30503. I print in ABS which has some shrinkage. In other materials the bearing landing can be loose. Heavy landing is not necessary on this one. If it's really bad, a drop of glue (PLA) or a drop of plastic dissolved in acetone (ABS) will do. No need to use super glue or strong fixative. I bought and installed new screws recently. They're high-quality screws. I removed the anti wobble system and the upper bearing. Before and after printing test blocks with new and old configurations, respectively. The printer prints cleaner with the new screws but shows small waves on the Z-axis. It also feels more irregular to the touch. Most likely I will switch back to my previous configuration using the new screws. You can see the results in the picture. On December 19th, I posted a photo of a similar device installed on my old 3D printer (PRUSA i2). It's been working for four years now and that's the basis of my concept.
