anti wobble . prusa structure . M8 screw
thingiverse
I designed an anti-wobble for my Geeetech Prusa I3 B with traditional Oldham coupler in mind. Printed in ABS (no raft: for surface quality), the white sliding part is cut in an acetal plate I had. Re-use the original M8 screw of the Prusa. This design is limited to 1 mm out-of-round. It is necessary to re-bore the 2.5 mm holes after print and thread them to M3. The sliding is to adjust with the FHC screws. This design with FHC screws is to save place, I would have preferred CHC ones but they were too high. I added some grease for the screws sliding. I think it is possible to make everything in ABS and add grease (multipurpose white grease) if acetal is difficult to access (thickness 5 to 6 mm). I also did a print in Iglidur i170 instead of ABS, printing hard to tune but fine sliding. This is the one I use since. Cale NMA17 is a solution to earn place at the bottom of Z screw, but it leads to a new Z screw a little longer.
