Anti-Warping Block, Truncated Octahedrons

Anti-Warping Block, Truncated Octahedrons

The thermal contraction of printed items causes the border area to warp. This distortion can be significantly minimized by this structure. Consequently, most horizontal layers consist of squares. When isolated squares contract, they will not warp the entire object. This OpenSCAD Script generates custom blocks of x*y*z dimensions as per your choice. You should consider the total number of elements, as it affects calculation time. The design is reminiscent of the cubic crystal structure of Sodalite (#218, P43n). I have taken two photos of a durability test. It performs well under 73 kg with a piece of wood on top. However, if it breaks apart, it appears to explode from the internal tension. Update V2: The script has been optimized for fast preview in Customizer.
