I came up with a solution for the EconoFil 1KG Master Spool - Injection Molded from filaments.ca. Their Master spool is fantastic and helps save a ton of plastic, but if you are using spool holders like mine, the nuts holding the two parts together might rub on the retainer every half turn, increasing the force required to pull the filaments. Even worse, it can completely lock the spool or make it fall off from the holder in the middle of the night, waking you up with a loud bang... I'm telling you this one's true. This thing prevents all that by narrowing the center hole and embedding the bolt's head, keeping them away from the retainer on the spool holder. It reduces the center from about 53mm to around 50mm. Nothing too extreme, but make sure your holders fit. Have a great day!
