Human: Edit 2018-12-06 : A new improved version is available in remixes or directly here : https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2748114 This piece, inspired by Lulzbot printer mechanics, is dedicated to the Dagoma DiscoVery and the DiscoEasy that use this head https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2478810 ; because it allows clearing space in Z for implementing these pieces. A flexible coupler is not a rod centerer: here we are centered at the bottom of the Z axes and eliminating wobbles from the 5x8 flexible coupler. A flexible coupler absorbs imperfections of alignment between two rotation axes that it connects. Depending on the center of inertia of what it drags, it deforms not only angularly but also and more subtly in XY and Z (of the order of +/- 50 to 100 um) and generates wobble. I recommend implementing these pieces with high rod centerers like those here (or others) https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2538950 and bracing the upper bearings with screws on each side (this requires longer threaded rods by a few centimeters). Some comments will say, "b'hein y a qu'à les virer ces accouplements souples et les remplacer par des accouplements rigides"... that's indeed another option (and you'll find several people who have already shared on Thingiverse this type of solution), however the problem with this approach is that the deformation inertia is then transmitted directly to the motor axis. You can see in the last image, the gain obtained before and after implementing this piece above each coupler.
