To combat limestone, I employed two 30x10 permanent magnets attached to a brass sleeve. These magnets generate a magnetic field that inhibits calcium and magnesium-rich water from forming calcite, thus creating aragonite crystals which thicken and prevent further limestone formation. Consequently, dissolved molecules are less likely to aggregate, remaining in solution.
