Anti-Intruder Device

Many schools all across America and even the world have begun to implement armed intruder drills into their monthly safety drills. I decided I wanted to help aid teachers with their routine. I have designed a safety A.I.D. This stands for Anti-Intruder Device. This doorstop digs into the ground the more pressure is put on the door. I came up with this idea shortly after the shooting in Sante Fe, Texas and when there was a shooting threat at my own high school. I realized that there was something I could do to help make classrooms safer. This doorstop can be quickly 3d printed on the side opposite of the holes for ¼” diameter magnets. I used PETG filament but it can be used with any filament. Any infill density above 40% should be more than enough. The 3d printed model is currently being implemented at my local Elementary school in my mother’s classroom and many other teachers have requested their own.Ryder Magnuson-11th gradeDick SpinkMount Vernon High School, Mount Vernon, Washington
