<body>So the cute little family of swallows that nests next to our house took a shine to our pool towel hangers which are made of 25mm/1" dowels. <br /> <br /> Birds keep themselves light by "losing ballast" i.e., pooping, at a prodigious rate. Towels and bird-poop = not a fantastic poolside experience, so FTIJPI: here is a 25mm self-clamping anti-bird-spike thing. <br /> <br /> It's got to be removable to make way for towels, hats, goggles etc. The design relies on the strength of the material for its clamping force, which seems to be okay.
