Anthony's Nose forms the eastern boundary of South Gate in the Hudson Highlands. Rising northeast to southwest as a ridge, it stands distinct from Canada Hill on its northeastern flank, separated by Copper Mine Brook and the South Mountain Pass. Its southwestern edge meets the Hudson River, with that body making a sharp turn around its southwestern tip, resulting in northwestern slopes falling towards salt marshes along the river's edge.
