The formicaria model was meticulously crafted in Fusion 360, showcasing a remarkable level of precision. After being transferred to Corel, minor corrections were skillfully made to refine the design. This current version builds upon the first iteration, thoughtfully addressing all its drawbacks and shortcomings. The dimensions of the formicari are precisely measured at 20 by 15 cm, with a height of 5 cm. A crucial aspect of this design is the acrylic material used, boasting a thickness of 3 mm. Additionally, any transparent acrylic-based plastic can be utilized as an alternative, as it provides a seamless and thin laser cut that prevents edge melting. To ensure sturdy assembly, specific fasteners are employed: Twelve bolts measuring 10 by 2 mm are strategically placed to secure the design. Nine larger bolts, measuring 16 by 2.5 mm, provide additional support. A dozen nuts with a diameter of 2 mm are used for bolt tightening. Nine nuts with a diameter of 2.5 mm complete the assembly requirements. The precise selection and placement of these components contribute significantly to the formicari's structural integrity and overall stability.
