Antenna Winder

Antenna Winder

I created this antenna winder for SOTA activations, but of course you can use if for non-sota activities as well.

The winder serves a second purpose as a strain relief for an endfed antenna and the paracord used for fixing the antenna to a tree or tent peg. The winder is then part of your deployed antenna which means one thing less you can lose on a mountain.

I've also packed a rope tensioner into the creation so that you can adjust the length / tension of the paracords easily as well. See the pictures if you don't know how to thread it.

As an antenna I use an 21m endfed made from cheap electronics wire (0.15mm²) which ends up at a total weight of roughly 130g.
