Key features include short neck vertebrae (about 70% of their height), well-developed transverse processes on tail vertebrae near the end (the width including these processes exceeds 30% of the rear joint width) and downward flatness, as well as smooth, circular bony plates surrounded by a mosaic of smaller polygonal plates with a rough surface texture and tiny button-like bones.
