Ant WAPC sci-fi walking troop transport for 28mm sci-fi wargames or sci-fi mdel making
thingiverse
This is the first in a line of walking sci-fi vehicles I'm designing. I've created a walking APC called the "Ant," which will be the foundation for future models. In upcoming versions, you can expect to see additional turrets, feet, and hull detail options added to enhance its capabilities. The concept behind the Ant is that on certain alien worlds, terrain may be too uneven to support tracks or wheels. As a result, walking tanks and other vehicles will need legs to navigate these environments. Printing: I've made these files compatible with various printer types by splitting them into different sections. If you prefer to avoid PLA supports, I've halved the leg and hull parts so they can be printed without them. Alternatively, if you prefer fewer parts, you can print the legs in one piece and then glue them into the hull. For those who prefer multi-post printing, all leg parts are available separately. I encountered some issues with the grill design on my Ender 3 printer, so I simplified it to improve printing results.
